Hello! My name is LaStarr, (Mrs. Starr is what the children call me) and I’m the proud owner and operator of Tiny Steps Learning Center. I’ve been a licensed childcare provider since 2011, and caring for and educating young children has always been my passion. Ever since I was a little girl, I dreamed of becoming a teacher and that dream has become my lifelong purpose.
I hold an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and bring over a decade of experience to the work I do every day. My goal is to create a safe, nurturing, and educational environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. At Tiny Steps, we focus on more than just childcare, we lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

We are committed to fostering each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through hands-on learning, creative play, and individualized care. Our goal is to partner with families to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning, one tiny step at a time.
Our Programs
Our full-day program runs Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where children can learn and grow. We offer a well-rounded curriculum that focuses on life skills, early literacy, and kindergarten readiness, helping children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Families can enjoy peace of mind with real-time updates and daily communication through our BrightWheel App, keeping you connected to your child’s day. We also provide nutritious meals and snacks, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack, all included with tuition.
